He got distracted by a sob. He found his son on ground. Little guy fell down while playing and bruised his knee. His son was surrounded by other people present in the park. “Boys don’t cry like girls. Boys are brave. No? So, behave like a good boy and stop crying.”, a lady from the group was trying to calm him.
Being the father, the sight was empathetic to him but then he stood up from the bench and started walking towards his son. He lifted his son, hugged him tight, kissed his bruised knee and said, “Ryan! It’s perfectly fine to cry because it is an expression of how you are feeling. And my boy! You are never wrong to express yourself.”
He looked at the dark sky and his favorite star almost winked at him. And with this, It was time for him and Ryan to go back home.
He was fighting her battles everyday, one battle at a time. He was raising Ryan like his wife would had done.

Very beautiful story, and very wise.
What a sweet story! Boo-Boos and bruises are plenty for little boys which makes them brave to face the battles that come as they grow up. Nicely done.
