You must be thinking I have gone crazy. But, ponder upon this. Have you tried listening to the voice of Silence? Not yet. I would say try it. It is wonderful. It is soul enchanting.
Silence is so freaking loud. – Sarah Dessen
I am usually a quiet person until unless I am mad about something or someone. But that’s not the point here. I like the voice of a silent moment because it tells you more than any words can tell. Silence is ethereal. I prefer being silent until unless I have something meaningful to add. I don’t talk for the sake of talking and I absolutely hate small talks.
Voice of silence is very melodious. Far from cacophonous sounds, when I sit with a cup of tea, I hear the voice of birds chirping on the tree outside my house, I hear the bells ringing in the nearby church, I listen to the sound of raindrops hitting the ground and it pleases the soul. It clears my head and make room for new thoughts. That silent moment fills me with energy.
I have often observed that people who prefer to be silent are thought of having no opinions but I disagree. Just because someone is quiet does not prove anything like just because someone is talking doesn’t mean that the talk is purposeful and enlightening.
Oh, and interesting part is, silence often has a meditational effect.
So, when was the last time you heard the beautiful voice of silence?
