She was sitting on the balcony outside her living room with her evening coffee mug. This was her place after work. She liked being here. Her flat was garden facing and she was a people observer. She liked reading emotions on human faces. They at times can tell you different stories.
Many times she dreamt herself with her husband in the garden and today was one such day.
Her doorbell broke her reverie. She opened the door. There was a delivery for her. A bouquet of 100 roses with a note saying, “Happy birthday love! Forever yours – Ben”.
Her late husband gifted her a yearly subscription of flowers delivery on birthday.
I am participating in A to Z Challenge for the second consecutive year and my theme this year is Flash Fiction.
