She came into her room and settled on her favorite sky-blue bean bag. Last month was really hectic and her beanbag seemed to hug her. She was sipping on her new-found flavour of Kopi Luwak, which she bought during her recent business trip to Indonesia. She was enjoying her much-needed vacation. View of the city from her room’s wall sized window was breathtaking. City lights were looking like twinkling stars.
She was lost in her thoughts. Her mind was thinking of upcoming business strategies and roadmaps when the background conversation from her living room took her attention.
“Yeah, they said everything is alright other than the complexion. They need a fair complexion girl for their son. Why don’t you ask her daughter to go for some skin treatments?”, said her aunt.
“No. I am sure, my daughter will manage to find a better guy on her own. Thank you for the interest though”, her mother proudly said.
She got angry for few minutes but then she knew what she had to do. She brushed away her anger, picked up her laptop and ordered a pair of gorgeous looking diamond earrings to appreciate her hard work.
As she was always told that diamonds are a girl’s best friends!
